When that ride is in the countryside along
the spectacular routes that define South Africa, its better
still. African Stay in association with JB Train Tours invites
all bikers to experience South Africa’s swirling mountain
passes, stretched vistas and peaceful byways in the wondrous
Western Cape & Boland.
Come ride the majestic mountain passes with thousands of
sweeping corners, high climbs and the coastal routes considered
to be the most beautiful in the world. And do this with the
knowledge that we will transport your bike safely to Cape Town
from Gauteng, Limpopo, Mpumalanga and the other provinces to the
Western Cape.
Join MOTORBIKE-on-TRAIN Tours who will see to all the special
requirements for the bike loading and safe transport. You will
overnight on the Trans Karoo Tourism Train and reach your Boland
destination fresh, rested and well informed to start Day 1 of
your unique tour led by one of our experienced biker guides.
Day 1 is a journey of some 300 kms traversing 7 of the
breath-taking mountain passes.
You will be booked into excellent accommodation for a minimum of
4 nights and we’ll see to your luggage along the way. Every day
a different circular route is traveled and always on tar. You’ll
visit and have time to explore Stellenbosch, Franschhoek,
Hermanus, Napier, Gordon’s Bay, Cape Point, Ceres, Worcester,
Wellington and Montague.
You’ll ride not only the well-known mountain passes like du
Toit’s Kloof and Bainskloof but also the lesser known yet
equally spectacular Gydo, Akkedisberg and Michell’s Pass.
We’ll keep to the speed limits but there are some surprising
roads where you can “open the throttle”. This is not a race or a
rally – it’s a fabulous tour and the emphasis is on friendship
and fun.
Bikers should bring their own bikes- bigger than 550cc but we
can arrange a rental if a valid license and photo ID is
produced. At all times the safety of the riders and pillions is
of the utmost importance.
This tour is an opportunity for local and overseas visitors to
experience South Africa in a unique way. Come ride with us and
